The Joy of a warm sunny day

   I was out walking early this morning.  It was cold drizzly and miserable. When I got home around noon I was greeted by a feast for the eyes in the form of dozens and dozens of crocus blooms. 

A warm sunny day and the bright rainbow of colours put a spring in my step, in a way that was not available in the cold, gray rain of morning. The joy of a warm sunny day, was just the gift I needed today.

4 crows and afternoon sun

On a walk with the dog, Saturday afternoon, I heard the amazing cacophony as the afternoon crows passed over Memorial Park.  The sheer volume of sound from this avian commute mesmerized me and rooted me to the spot.  

  

Theirs is not a lovely sound, in the way a robin singing for rain is lovely, but then again, it is more like drumming than a flute solo, and is beautiful, fitting and a comforting part of a sunny late afternoon.

A Strange No-Entry Sign

In this Street shot of London, I noticed something strange about one of the no entry signs.  I was intrigued, and did a little poking around.  Here's what I found: there is an artist named Clet Abraham.  He has done some work that has been called 'street art'.  I don't know if this is one of his signs, or just a stencil put on by a graffiti artist.  Here is one of his signs:
